Classes are held in the village of Les Cerqueux Sous Passavant which is located in the Loire Valley.
| Countless chateaus, caves and hidden treasures from Gobeline tapestries to Richard the Lionheart's tomb are close by. The ocean is 1 1/2 hours away and Paris (by train) is approx. 2 hours away. | |
| Students have a variety of housing possibilities. French Gites which are clean, comfortable and excellent private little houses are one form. Living with French families in our village or on a farm like Auberge ( hotel), or staying in our local Chateau Colbert are some other favorites. Rates are anywhere from $350.00 (euros) for a room in shared student houses - up to $800.00- $1500.00 for private houses and hotels. Please Note: For simplicity we are using a $=Euros exchange | |
| Please fill out our Housing Questionaire if you are Registering for a class. | |
| Car Rentals | |
|
Students definitely need access to a car. We have worked for fifteen years with the same company. We will help you to either rent a car personally, or rent one with a group of other students. GROUP CAR COSTS: ($200.00) approximately.
| Travel to the Village | |
| The TGV train leaves from Charles DeGaulle Airport, or Paris Gare Montparnasse, destination ANGERS and takes 1 1/2 hours. Price approx. 80 Euros. It takes approx. 3 hours if you are traveling by car, from Paris, directly to our village. | |
| What to Bring | |
| In general, you should pack light. Wash and wear clothing should suffice for the class. Make sure that you bring along a sweater for cool nights and a rain poncho for the occasional summer rains. | |
